#TeacherQuarantine: Leaders Need to Lead

I believe I think too much. But I’ve been thinking about all that is happening in the world today. I’m an empath so the weird vibe has me reaching for a bit of grounding these last few day.

I started taking this “whole crazy virus thing” seriously, seriously last Friday when school was actually cancelled. Until that point, I had been taking it seriously. We took all proper precautions as suggested.

And as for the school shutdowns, we have hurricanes all the time in Florida so an extra week off before Spring Break wasn’t a deal breaker. I mean, how long could it last. No more than two weeks, tops. And then I read that #flattenthecurve article on Medium and it changed my mind about things.

Fact is, we were wrong. Those of us who missed this one until recently. Those who thought it wasn’t gonna’ be a big deal. We were wrong.

All I know, is none of my friends on social media or otherwise were talking about it with me. Until lately.

And wherever you stand on politics doesn’t matter right now, so quit arguing about it. Vote for who ya’ wanna’ vote for in November.

These days, I’d encourage you to Pray for our leaders if you love this nation.

Politics aside, we’re all Americans now. And leaders need to step out and lead.

Some people called me a blogger once. Now, I’m just tucking away some words for myself and you. Here to shine a bit of light on this present darkness.
